Welcome to Egypt, the Land of the Pharaohs, and your three-day Cairo Luxor Tour. Begin your once-in-a-lifetime journey in Cairo, where you’ll see some of the world’s most famous landmarks. While touring the lanes and alleys of Medieval Cairo, step inside the iconic Giza Pyramids, stand between the legs of the massive Sphinx, see the wonderful Egyptian Museum, and shop till you drop at the famed Khan El Khalili bazaar.
Fly from Cairo to Luxor in style and expect to be amazed by even more ancient wonders. Visit the Valley of Kings, which houses over 60 royal tombs, including King Tutankhamen’s tomb. Explore Karnak, an ancient temple city that includes Luxor Temple, Hatshepsut Temple, and many more sites.
When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, look for our representative with the Luxor and Aswan Travel sign. Then, with the assistance of your personal guide, you will go to the Giza Plateau to witness one of the ancient world's seven wonders: the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus, as well as the iconic Sphinx and Valley Temple. Then visit the Egyptian Museum to admire King Tutankhamen's treasures. Continue to Coptic Cairo to see the Hanging Church and the Ben Ezra Synagogue before heading to Islamic Cairo to visit Khan El Khalili, Cairo's oldest and most fascinating bazaar. Transfer to your Cairo hotel for a check-in and overnight stay. Meals included: Lunch
Our representative will pick you up from your Cairo hotel and take you to the airport for your flight to Luxor, where you will be greeted and assisted by your Egyptologist guide, who will accompany you and show you all of the significant historical sites, including: Make a quick stop at the Valley of the Kings tourist center. Then venture into the rock-cut rooms and tunnels. Although guides are not permitted inside the tombs, they will provide an overview of what to look for before you enter. Explore the vibrant, hieroglyph-covered passageways and painted apartments that once housed ancient Egypt's rulers' mummies. You can pay an additional price to enter King Tutankhamun's tomb if you so desire. Hatshepsut Temple: This is one of Ancient Egypt's most stunning and well-preserved temples. The temple was built on three levels, connected by two wide ramps in the center. Two massive stone sculptures of King Amenhotep III are the only relics of a complete funerary temple. The figures are made of quartzite sandstone that was discovered in Cairo and transported 700 kilometers to Luxor. So your excursion involves a boat ride on the Nile River followed by a tour to an island for lunch. Karnak Temples: Karnak is the most spectacular site in Egypt. It is the largest temple complex in the world. It is the result of several generations of ancient builders and Pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak is made up of three major temples spanning across 247 acres of land. Finally, transfer to Luxor airport for your flight back to Cairo, followed by a night at your hotel.
