Itinerary

Day 1 : Cairo ON

Arrival in Cairo. Transfer to the hotel. Rest after the journey. After breakfast, transfer to the Fustat district in Old Cairo and visit the Museum of Egyptian Civilization, which, among other valuable artifacts, exhibits 22 pharaonic mummies, transferred here from the Egyptian Museum. A moment of relaxation at the nearby Khan el Khalili bazaar. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. For those interested, an evening cruise on the Nile.

Day 2 : CAIRO – BAHARIYA OASIS

Departure from Cairo deep into the Western Desert. It is part of the Libyan Desert located in Egypt, stretching for 800 km west of the Nile and covering 2/3 of the country's area. About 400 km southwest of Cairo there is the Baharyia oasis - the smallest of the so-called oases. The Great Loop Desert. Day 3: OASIS BAHARIA – CAIRO

Morning walk near the camp. Return to Cairo. Arrival in Cairo in the afternoon. A visit to the Museum of Islamic Art, which, according to Egyptians, is the largest museum of this type in the world. It collects thousands of exhibits of enormous artistic and historical value. Dinner and overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 4: CAIRO – WADI NATRUN – EL ALAMEIN – MARSA MATROUH

Departure to Marsa Matrouh. Descent to the Natrun Valley located in the Eastern Desert, below sea level. It was here in the 4th century AD the Christian monastic movement was born, the first religious communities and monasteries were established. In the Middle Ages, there were over 50 monasteries here. Four Copts, who enjoy great respect among Egyptians, have survived to this day. A visit to the Monastery of St. Macarius - the largest and most important Coptic monastery in Wadi Natrun, as well as to the monastery and the Syrian monastery. Transfer to El Alamein. A visit to the military cemetery where Allied and German soldiers who fought at El Alamain during World War II are buried. Arrival for overnight stay in Marsa Matrouh - the main administrative center of the province of the same name. The city has a very long history dating back to the times of Alexander the Great, who founded it. Cleopatra and Mark Antony also stayed here.

Day 5: SIWA OASIS

Departure to the Siwa oasis, located less than 40 km from the border with Libya, on the edge of the Great Sea of Sand. Its history dates back to ancient Egypt. The inhabitants, related to the Berbers from Algeria and Morocco, created a separate culture and their own language. The oasis is fed by over 300 springs and streams supplying fresh water to large plantations of date palms and olive trees, and salt lakes make this place even more extraordinary. Arrival in the city of Siwa. Visiting the ruins of the fortified city of Szala, built in the 13th century in the form of a labyrinth. The remains of buildings built from the local building material "khershef" - a mixture of mud, clay and brine - tower over the city of Siwa. They are a perfect vantage point for the entire oasis. At sunset, a desert safari in 4x4 cars. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: SIWA OASIS

A trip to the Hill of the Dead, where there are tombs from the 26th Dynasty and the Ptolemaic tombs, later used by the Romans. Visiting Aghurmi with the ruins of the temple of the god Amun Re. Day 7: SIWA – EL ALAMIN
